Emilie Ceriez

Already as a child, Emilie Ceriez couldn’t keep her hands off tinkering with all the materials and shapes that were within her reach. This made studying product design a natural choice for her. After graduation in 2005 she applied her multifarious talents in a range of products, designing for lingerie brands, architecture firms and even an eyewear manufacturer. However, Emilie was always drawn back to furniture.

Following her passion, she has been working with different suppliers worldwide whose specialization ranges from small handmade items to large industrial productions. In 2016 she started her own studio and began designing for many European and American brands active in the home and interior business.

There are three indispensable ingredients for Emilie’s steady stream of innovative designs, some of which have been in customers’ catalogs for many years: Her intuitive sense for forms and materials. Her first-hand familiarity with the furniture production process. And, most importantly, Emilie’s ability to tell a story through her collections.

Escaping her heavily cloudy native Belgium, Emilie resides off the coast of Portugal. This sunny environment overlooking the Atlantic offers the best conditions to ideate and create new designs.

Mark Dvorak

Mark began his career in architectural design working for the iconic lifestyle brand, Ralph Lauren, in New York City designing the interiors for all domestic and international Polo stores. After moving to San Francisco, he worked closely with Mickey Drexler, a prominent retail figure, to reinvent the Gap stores as his next challenge.

Over the last decade, Mark has honed his design passion and skillset by building product assortments for the RH brand. During the brand’s most pivotal years, he was responsible for developing key top-selling collections in case goods, upholstery, and lighting categories.

His aesthetic is rooted in classic proportions and timeless design. Mark designs by his favorite jazz musician Charles Mingus’s quote, “Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple. That’s creativity.”

Mark lives between his San Francisco and Sonoma homes with his wife Vi and their three girls.

Line Svendsen

Based in Paris, Norwegian Creative Director, Line Svendsen, specializes in fabrics, decor, lighting and upholstery on top of accent furniture. Line has a functional approach to design combined with a sharp eye for color and an intuitive understanding of customer DNA.

Evolving her design experience after years of high-end floral design and styling, Line took over the Art direction at SIA France, then Kenas Home Shanghai. Her creative abilities are endless and continue to inspire trends and new designs for Kenas Home for nearly 20 years.

From living and traveling around the world, Line became inspired by many cultures and her designs capture influences from Asia, India, and Europe beautifully. Her work always starts with the development of original materials, finishes, or fabrics to bring her collections to life. Tying in her Norwegian roots, Scandinavian design elements often reflect in her designs.

Her motto is “Life is too short to wear flat shoes.” Line is passionate about her garden and lives in the countryside of Paris with her three dogs.

Pietro Morucci

Raised in Milan and graduating from the European Institute of Design, Pietro Morucci transmits the heart and heritage of his Italian identity in his approach to life and design. Trained in architecture in Milan, his journey in furniture has taken him from a design studio in Amsterdam to the nexus of manufacturing in Southeast Asia. Collaborating with retailers, designers and artisans throughout Europe and the United States, he continuously builds on his passion for integrating design with the human experience.

Pietro’s design philosophy can be described as a blurred line between self-indulgence and function. It starts with the story behind the product inspired by landscapes, architecture, literature and ancient myth. Focusing on organic materials and the natural beauty of our surroundings, he creates with timeless materials – reclaimed wood, concrete, woven fibers and leather. Nothing is overly worked, painted or man-made. His vision is to express function through the richness of material, colour and texture.

He currently lives in Southeast Asia, workshopping with artisans in the heart of both Java and Bali, Indonesia. There he experiments, creates and plays with a rich variety of materials and techniques. Influenced by his time in Asia coupled with his European design perspective, he continues to build concepts & collections for brands such as Four Hands, Pottery Barn, Jenni Kayne and Lillian August.

Michael Sarno

For over a quarter of a century, Michael Sarno has envisioned, designed, and developed some of the Furniture Industry’s most iconic collections. For 20 of those years, he was a major part of the small design team at Ralph Lauren (one of the most renowned lifestyle brands in history), responsible for designing many influential and innovative Furniture collections. Even though his forte and main focus was Furniture Design at RL, Michael’s creativity also spanned tabletop, lighting, showrooms and interiors during his tenure.

For Michael, inspiration for design is found in some obvious places- nature, architecture, vibrant colors, etc…But also from many unexpected sources- striking shadows, textured materials, geometric shapes & patterns, to name a few. His ability to translate these details into collections that tell a story is his distinct creative genius.

His product designs have been featured in many national & international magazines, including Architectural Digest, World of Interiors, Elle Décor, House & Garden, NY Times Design Magazine, Wallpaper, & Surface. In 2018, after a two decade career at Ralph Lauren, Michael decided to embark on a new adventure, and opened his own multi-disciplinary Design Atelier, Studio Marenzo, focusing on creating elevated Interiors, Furniture, Lighting, and Branding.

He holds several design degrees in Architecture and Industrial Design, and continues to teach aspiring design students at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.

Jonne Hultink

Fascinated by traditional craftsmanship, inspired by unique materials to the touch, as well as heavily influenced by classic timeless silhouettes – these few things are embedded in Jonne Hultink’s design process.

After graduating with a master’s degree in industrial design from the technical university in Delft in The Netherlands, his career has covered the luxury boating industry, innovative 3D printing, and gradually led him into furniture design.

In 2011 Jonne established his own studio with the mission to contribute to making the furniture industry sustainable. Jonne keeps his creativity flowing with his passion for Flea Markets, concept stores, sketching, hiking and currently renovating an old sail boat.

Jonne has been involved in designing projects for a wide range of well established furniture companies including Restoration Hardware, West Elm, Four Hands, Pottery Barn, William Sonoma Home, Costplus World Market, Weylandts, Flamant, Oka, Home and Cottage, Coco Republic, Globe West, and Woven Plus.
